On the 3rd October running for two consecutive days will be the very popular Beer and Cider festival run by CAMRA.
In its 11th year, visitors have the chance to try over 30 real ales, and over ten ciders and perries, at The Point in Sunderland – (we can already feel a bad head coming on). Making this event the ideal opportunity to unwind for the weekend and catch up with friends, family, and even your local locksmith!
The event is a firm favourite up and down the UK, and if we’re not out on an emergency locksmith call, we’ll most certainly be here. Listening to live bands play as well as show our support for the wider Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
A little bit of history.
CAMRA was founded in 1971 by four real ale enthusiasts, and today due to its popularity there are nearly 200,000 members across the UK!
With a mission to promote quality real ale, cider and perry, promoting responsible social drinking, and making pubs and clubs social centres which are recognised as part of the UK’s cultural heritage, CAMRA certainly has their work cut out.
Whether a beer connoisseur looking to find out more about the more unusual real ales available or you simply want to meet with friends and try out something different as you chat – The Point Beer and Cider festival offers it all.
Tickets cost as little as £3, and we’d recommend getting these as quick as possible, as this event sells out fast!
